The following list of documentation will help, so bring as much as possible:

Letter of employment or an acceptance letter from a new job

Copy of recent paycheck stubs

Copy of a recent bank statement

Copies of last 2 years tax returns

Personal reference letter

Landlord reference letter

Copy of a photo ID

Your checkbook

Guarantor information (if needed)

First month's rent, security deposit, application fees,($25-$100 for apartments.
$150-$750 for condos and co-ops), brokerage fee. Rent and security are
due, usually as two certified checks, but not always, on the first business
day following agreement.
Credit application information (for every one on the lease) with names,
addresses, numbers of employers, bankers, accountants, former landlords
and social security numbers.
AN APARTMENT
APPLICATION IS THEN FILLED OUT AND SUBMITTED TO THE LANDLORD OR MANAGMENT
FOR THEIR APPROVAL. IN THE CASE OF COOP OR CONDO APPROVAL COULD IT TAKE
UP TO A FEW WEEKS.
